KEEP is a partnership program between local Japanese churches in the greater Tokyo area and the Evangelical Free Church of Canada Mission. (The K of KEEP stands for "Kanto," which means greater Tokyo.) The ministry is done by short term tentmakers who teach evangelistic English conversation classes in three EFC of Japan churches.

In 2008, Laura S started as the first teacher in KEEP. In the summer of 2009 she began a medical leave in the US for cancer treatment. We are trusting that Laura will be able to return to her ministry by the fall of 2010. Eric has stepped in to help with the classes from Oct/2009 through Mar/2010. And from Apr - Jun/2010, Chie K from California will be our interim teacher.

Regarding recruitment, KEEP prefers a one year commitment from Sep - Jun. KEEP is currently staffed through the summer of 2011, but might seek an additional teacher beginning in Sep/2011.
