Ann leads an evangelistic thrust in Tomioka and Kanra towns of Gunma Prefecture, two hours north of Tokyo by road. She teaches monthly evangelistic English classes there.

The Gunma project began as a church planting partnership with a Japanese mother church in 2005. Despite seeing the project off to a good start, by the summer of 2007 it became clear that the mother church was no longer willing or able to carry out the required church planting partnership responsibilities in Gunma. Thus the Littles' partnership with the mother church ended. In addition, in the spring of 2007 the community center they were renting in Tomioka for Ann's evangelistic English classes refused to renew the rental agreement.

But God gave a green light for continuing the Gunma project! For one thing, the pastoral couple of the former mother church wanted us to continue the evangelistic project. And for another, the dozen or so unbelieving ladies who attended Ann's English conversation classes were eager to continue. So one of these ladies offered her ballet school building in the neighboring city of Kanra as a place for Ann's class to continue meeting. Ann's class has been using that facility since the late spring of 2007.

Dale and Ann would like to see these English classes eventually grow into a home Bible study and then a church.
